Information for prospective graduate students
MA, MSc and PhD
I welcome interest with students interested in research related to environment and health, environmental studies and informatics. Current topic areas include research on risk communication, value of information analysis and modelling human-environment interactions. I am looking for students with an interest and experience in either primary data collection (using online experiments) or the analysis of secondary data.
Here are some specific topic areas I am working on:
- Applications of game theory and research games related to the environment and health
- Online agent-based models for research, learning and training
- Infectious disease surveillance and management
- Communication of health information and infodemiology
- Reinforcement learning in agent-based models of socio-environmental systems
- Natural language processing (NLP) and environmental attitudes on social media
- Critical analysis of environmental health research
